
Regional Meeting in Seim Reap
Siem Reap Province: On Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CWA organized a regional meeting in Siem Reap Province at the Angkor Paradise Hotel.
Objectives:
– To listen to the voices of members and collaboratively seek solutions.
– To strengthen relationships with sub-national authorities, relevant departments, association members, and various development partners.
– To provide updates on the Association, legal regulations related to the clean water sector, and to share knowledge, experience, information, and new technologies.
The meeting was presided over by high-ranking official’s presidency His Excellency OUM Sotha, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI). Mr. SEA Sengheap, Treasurer of CWA’s Board of Directors. Her Excellency MORNNI Raingsey, Vice Governor of Siem Reap Province.
The meeting was attended by representatives from MISTI, the provincial administrations of Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, and Banteay Meanchey and DISTI from Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Banteay Meanchey, Preah Vihear, and Oddar Meanchey provinces. Other attendees included representatives from the Department of Rural Development, Department of Water Resources and Meteorology, Department of Mines and Energy, and Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadaster from Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, and Banteay Meanchey provinces. Private water operators from Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, Preah Vihear, Battambang, Takeo, and Kandal provinces. Representatives from Water.org, CWA’s staff, and sponsoring company tally 115 (20 females) participants including 41 Private Water Operators (10 females) representing 36 stations.
